How to Make Your LED Lights Rainbow

If you ever want to do something fun with your LED lights, this is an easy DIY project that’s good for many different occasions. It will make your Christmas tree or any other small object in the room look fantastic, and it wouldn’t take much time.

If you want to make your led lights glow in various colors, you can easily make them that way. You can use several techniques, including cellophane, a remote control, a digital LED controller, and a cellophane. Regardless of your preferred method, you will soon have lights that look like a rainbow!

Steps

Follow these five simple steps to see how fast and easy it is to make your rainbow lights:

1) Make a rainbow wire using two drab-colored wires about 10 inches long. You could use string or even shoelaces if you don’t have spare wires like this.

2) Bend the wires over a piece of cardboard, curled up in a tiny circle.

3) Cut off the ends of the wires and thread them through the rollers at either end of your rainbow wire. The rollers are usually eight inches long, but if you prefer to keep your wire shorter, you can use shorter rollers. You could also use any ball chain size to hold your wire together; for example, a single lock chain would be suitable for about 4 inches of wire. Finally, use jump rings to attach the ends of the wire to the ball chain.

4) Take your framed object and thread the rainbow wire through it in any way you like. The only requirement for this project is that you make sure your rainbow wire is about 6-8 inches below your frame, and it’s a good idea to have at least 4 inches of wire sticking out on either side of the frame.

5) This step’s optional, but if you like, use some tape or hot glue to keep your wires at the top and bottom of your frame.

And that’s it! If you want to change the color of your lights, use different colored paint on your rainbow wire. Since the wires are made of copper, they’ll stay nice and green for quite a while. However, if you paint them black or another dark color, they’ll probably start to turn brown eventually.

Using a Color Wheel

You can make your LED lights rainbow by changing the amount of current that goes through them. To do this, you can either connect your LED lights to a wall outlet or use a battery-powered color changer. In both cases, you’ll need to experiment with different intensities and frequencies to make the lights change colors. However, this process is not complicated and can be done for very little money.
